Chapter History

Alpha Xi Delta is the oldest Greek organization on campus at Lyon College, achieving national status even before the fraternities. In January of 1973, the Zeta Iota chapter (then known as Sigma Alpha Sigma) became recognized by our national body and was granted full privileges. The sisters of Alpha Xi Delta continue to carry on the spirit of our founders today by staying true to our values of sisterhood, leadership, knowledge, and service while striving to lead our campus on to new "firsts."
